February 22-24 marked the dates of Christian Union's 2019 Nexus Conference. Several hundred Christian Union students gathered in New Brunswick, NJ to explore what it means to be “Courageous in the ways of the Lord.”
Nexus 2019 looked at courage in each area of life, with a special emphasis on faith and vocation. Students had the opportunity to learn from — and connect with — industry professionals in their fields of study.
If you missed Nexus 2019, plan now for the Nexus 2020 conference. Come and build relationships with like-minded Christians, gain a vision for transforming your campus and look ahead to how God is equipping you now to be a part of his transforming work in your profession, relationships and beyond.
Next year's conference is scheduled for February 21-23, once again at the Hyatt New Brunswick.
Participate in vibrant worship and prayer, and learn from knowledgeable speakers in the four plenary sessions that anchor the conference.
Matt Bennett challenges you towards evangelism and revival with wisdom shared from the Scriptures. Dr Jimmy Lin encourages you to be bold as you operate as a Christian in your vocation. Eric Metaxas inspires you to speak up for truth seen in God’s word. Baroness Cox urges you to stand for others and justice as you interact in the world.
Expand your knowledge with the guidance of Christian leaders who encourage you to consider issues in light of God’s Word. Ask questions and dig deeper in these interactive sessions. Engage in topics such as leadership, evangelism, revival, sexuality, and the supernatural with subject-matter experts and leading Christian thinkers.
Glean from experienced professional in industries including: The Academy, Applied Sciences, Business Ventures, Law & Government, Non-Profit Engagement, and Communications & Media.
As we draw near to God, He promises to draw near to us. Prayer is the means by which we receive from God and are empowered to intercede on behalf of others. At Nexus, participate in life-changing and powerful times of prayer not only in plenary sessions but in the 24-hour prayer room. Pray with fellow students from across campuses as you seek His face and His will and intercede for others.
Fellowship and Networking
Being courageous in the ways of the Lord does not mean working alone, but instead by building groups, networks, and bodies of believers gathering together for fellowship, breaking bread and prayer. As a network, Christians can amplify the power for cultural change. At Nexus there are opportunities to meet and spend time with fellow believers from across nine campuses and go deep in prayer and relationships. Through small groups you will forge new friendships that will last beyond the conference and (with God’s help) in years to come.
God’s word is living and active. Be inspired by fellow students who have memorized and will perform SpokenWord pieces taken directly from Scripture. A time of joy and celebration, SpokenWord is one of the unique highlights of the Nexus Conference. See past performances here.
